New Year’s surprise
Happy New Year! Here’s a puzzle. It is decidedly not Tough as Nails — in fact, the stated reason it was rejected from one venue, and I think the unstated reason it was rejected from another, is that the theme is too easy to figure out. I mean…I think if I were solving it, I’d still have fun? You tell me. (No, seriously! If you hate it, I want to know, because I do trust my own instincts but would like to know when I shouldn’t.)
Tough as Nails Themeless #129
The last themeless of the year happens to fall on Christmas. As far as I know that’s not reflected at all in this puzzle. Sorry not sorry!
Tough as Nails Themeless #128
Current Self thanks Past Self for always making sure there are at least two puzzles in the can at any given time, because Current Self is BUSY.
Have fun with this one!
Tough as Nails Themeless #127
The way I clued the seed entry makes me think of Taylor Dayne. IYKYK.
Tough as Nails Themeless #126
Still haven’t figured out how to get the embed working. It’s not on my list of top 10,000 problems to solve right now, but for those who prefer online solving, you can do it here.
Tough as Nails Themeless #125
Okay, so it only took me almost five years to figure out how to embed an online solver. I’m way better at crosswords than I am at technology, OK? Hopefully I will remember how to do this next time. Yes, I know it’s not working, working on it!
And here’s this week’s puzzle by the usual means, for those who like it that way:
Tough as Nails Themeless #124
Themeless time! Hope you enjoy.
Tough as Nails Themeless #123
It’s Wednesday! Here’s a puzzle.
Bonus: We Have Achieved Peak Rodent
Is this a hard puzzle? An easy puzzle? I’m not really sure — I just threw it together in response to the event referenced at 35D. Enjoy!
