Nice one as always (although the isolated NE and SW corners gave me agita). The clue for 6D made me LOL, and really any puzzle that includes “in 18th-century slang” in a clue is aces in my book.
Enjoyed thinking about Bertie Wooster, though I needed crosses to suss what he exemplified. Southwest corner was last to fall; that Danny DeVito clue was devilish. Thanks for the puzzle.
